I like the debadged look.... but I will NEVER debadge.

Why not?
Simple. I don't wan't people thinking I have a 525 or 530, but I'm trying to hide it.
That is part of the reason why I like the debadge look. People will asume I have a 525/530 until I smoke their a$$. I just wish I can see the look on their face as I pull away from their e350/500s, M35/45s, IS350s, GS430s, etc and the occassional cannibalism of another bimmer.

That's only if they even care enough to try and race to find out. 9 times out of 10 they will just assume you're trying to hide the fact you couldn't afford the V8. (Only in your case, you do have the V8)

Yeah Vert M3 was surprised I kept up with it......stopped at a light and (Vert Owner) asked, man that 525i is fast.....He thought my car said 525i instead of 545i.

i see your point subterfuse, but in my case i have a 530. i'd still debadge if i had a 525/545/550...even an M5. just like the clean look and don't care what other people think. but honestly, it did cross my mind that ppl would think i'm hiding the fact that i don't have a V8. but the clean look rules out!

Based on Znod, debadging might free up some wheel hp from reducing unsprung weight. hahahha j/k

Debadge ... driving with the badge on is like leaving the price sticker on a car ...

I personally like the clean look - and don't give a sh*t what people think - so obviously I debadged.

...regarding your argument - it's rather relative. Here in Holland even a E60 520d is regarded an achievement to own. I see your point however, a lot of people will think like that, I just choose that it shouldn't affect the way I want my car to look like.
