Is there any aftermarket rear shock mounts for the E60?

Is the E60 M5 shock mount the same as the non-M ?

Thanks

I could not find E60 aftermarket mounts from any of the top vendors and even talked to Turner Motorsports who said no one made them. I tried to find out about the M5 parts, but could not confirm if they would work or not (I remember thinking it would not work, but can't remember why now).

I busted two of them in a month after the suspension was changed, so I was looking for a stronger piece before it happened a third time. It turns out on mine the original installer had used a smaller washer on the strut rod rather then the larger OE part (BMW calls it a "plate"). When I got it fixed at a different shop they used the same washer with the new mount. Ended up doing it myself and using the right parts. No problem since then (and we have really bad roads here).

If properly installed (like from the factory), I don't think the stock mounts are that weak (at least compared to older BMW's).
