It is a direct fit...but you will have to hack your old exhaust off first.
i did the quad magnaflow from socale and west threrad a couple years back. Great sound with very low drone and 10hp gain. Make sure to get the correct size parking holes.

My Ride: 09 550i 6sp M-Tech. 18mm spacers rear, 8mm front. Dinan intake and Stage 2 tune. Tinted tails, M5 OEM lip spoiler.

06 Volvo S60R Heavily Modded!! Gone and missed.
I didnt have to remove exhaust first. If you have PDC, make sure you get the right bumper. Holder clips are different with small and large PDC holes.

My Ride: 2008 535i LCI with sports/premium package, Sports trans with paddle shifters, CF emblems, JB4 Software, Dinan Exhaust, Navigation, M5Tech body kit, Carbon wrap interrior trim and CIC Controller.
You also need to replace both side and rear mount brackets, trim or replace lower under body battery cover so it's not a simple plug and play. You can get by without the brackets but you need zip ties or something to secure the liver bumper area. If I had a VW I might use zippies but not on a BMW!
