Default Rpi exhaust review on e60 530i

Hey guys i want to spare some of my time to give you my full thoughts on the RPI exhaust and the REMUS and exhausts
To begin with , I have a 2006 530i I know its not the fast bmw car but its my first car and im happy with it since I have my eyes on an e60 m5 soon. So I wanted to make the engine a bit more noticeable but not too annoying neither too quiet (stock). My main concern when I wanted an exhaust was the “drone”. So I researched and researched I found eisenmann meisterschaft rpi remus billy boat and supersprint or a custom borla or magnaflow setup.
I stood away from the custom setup since its known to do drone and you must really know what mufflers to buy for your engine.
So I basically had the rest as options. Remember I have a 530i so I didn’t want to spend a fortune 1k+ on an exhaust such as meisterschaft , eisenmann or supersprint (maybe if I had an ///M I would)
Billyboat rpi and remus … I read that BB and rpi drone so I bought a remus..
When I got it and installed it the sound was like exactly stock.. it was like buying a whole new oem muffler…
Let me get something straight when a person wants to buy an “Exhaust” system he doesn’t want it to be stock. He expects it to be louder and more noticeable. Now im not saying remus is bad or good but im just explain MY case. So I removed the secondary cats .. sound was the same and nothing changed so I chopped of the resonator… it became a tad louder but it had the same sound note as stock… I went crazy.. the remus was literally not getting any louder… video below…

(REMUS)

So I decided to sell my remus and went back to the forums.. 80% suggested rpi. So I talked to Trinity Autosport the guy there called Nerwyll was good and had fast shipping so I noticed the tips were huge compared to remus.. like really big and it looked sweet with the engraving of RPI. My exhaust guy asked me if I want the resonator back since all I had left was the stock header and the primary cats and no sec cats and neither a resonator left all the way back to the rpi. I told him do nothing just install the rear muffler . so what I had was engine + stock header and prim cats + stainless steel piping till the rpi muffler.
It was like falling in love when I turned on the car.. It had a huge deep note and that popping sound when downshifting and up shifting can be heard clearly..

(RPI)

RESULTS:
-ZERO RASPINESS (AND YES IVE SEEN AND HEARD RASPY BIMMERS)
-EXTREMELY DEEP
DRONE YES (BUT ONLY AT LOW RPM AND you actually want to hear the drone.) its those types of drones that are sweet to the ears.

Overall: RPI hands down is the best for a e60 530i with the n52 engine..
Here is a full video below… please enjoy.
NB: I LEARNED THAT IF A PEROSN WANTS AN EXHAUST YOU BETTER BE READY FOR SOME DRONE AND SOUND. OR IF YOU DON’T JUST KEEP THE STOCK ONE ON.NO MUFFLER OR SYSTEM IN THE WORLD CAN FULLY ELIMINATE DRONE …
THANKS FOR YOUR TIME

trinity's where it's at. but that spoiler makes the car look so dated. but then again, aside from the vorsteiner and the m5 spoiler, i was never a fan of any other spoiler on the e60.

Interesting. I used to have a Remus on my E30 before I built the motor. It sounded completely amazing, but sadly the build quality wasn't great and the welds on the casing completely rusted away after around 18 months of use. I guess the E60 just doesn't respond well to that Remus muffler.

The RPI is very nice, congrats.
