Hi Everyone!
What are your thoughts on RDSport R54 Motor Conversion. Anyone considering this modification?
"True to its tradition, once again RDSport discounts the easier forced-induction route and pushes the envelope of its normally aspirated V8 motors to a new level.
The R54 uses much of the same technology found in the latest F1 motors: billet crankshaft, billet rods, and a set of forget pistons that are amongst the lightest to ever find their way into a production-based motor.
The ported cylinder heads boast 22% more efficiency than the stock ones, and this is mainly obtained through the use of larger valves and modified cam profiles.
The motor internals are complemented by a full race-bred exhaust, entirely hand-made out of 304 stainless steel. It features equal length primaries, metal matrix catalytic converters, an X-Flow downpipe, and 2 hyper-efficient rear silencers with quad pipes.
The results are impressive: 489 HP SAE @ 6500 RPM, but more important, an astounding 408 lbs-ft of torque at only 3800 RPM. The performance of the R54 Sedan is exhilarating: 0-62 mph in a mere 4.5 seconds, and a top speed of 200 mph."

I'll be back in time for the F10. As for the Merc, I'm just itching my AMG scratch. I've got BMW in my blood. ![Big Grin](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/biggrin.gif)
