Radio Auxiliary Input Kit
I tried to install my self with no luck at all. and i knew what i was doing. took it to bmw dealer to have them do it. it took them like 5h. they had stuff everywhere. and all i got was the AUX in glove box and they reprogramed my idrive. total cost about $480. a very unhappy $480. Aux port sound quality is nothing close to cd quality. its really sad.
Try looking at this........ https://5series.net/forums/topic/518...1#entry1279277
There are inline capacitors blocking your sound and the cable they used. It's behind the aux jack. Or the disconnected your speakers under your seats because they're also newbies.

I just did it on my 535d and my friend's 535d, easy to install if you know what you doing (less than 1 hour) cost only about £50 each OEM set.
The sound is good, without any problem, maybe because I didn't replace the plug, I patched the cable in to the original one, all speakers and nice sound.
Coded with NCS expert (less than 5 minutes) but it took me a lot of trying, but it is done now.
