I agree. However, there is such a big enough discrepancy in where and the volume of rusts between the front and rears to make me believe that there is obviously something wrong with the rears.

yeah this is normal for all rotors even stock there is another tread that I just expressed that about the rotors the other day however it will scrape off as soon as you drive on the brake surface. The hat are another story what I did when I got the rotors was spray paint them with hi temp paint before i installed them the drill holes and slots still hold the paint so little rust on them there but the paint is wearing off now

Okay, here's a couple of pics. To recap, both of these are purchased about the same time, about 2 months old. The rear rotors already look like they have been on the car for years. I plan on getting wheels soon and it would look like crap if the front rotors are shiny and the rears look rusted out.
