So I took a look at my airbox today and took out the charcoal filter. But I put it back for the mean time because I am paranoid and I don't want to break anything
I know it doesn't do any harm the engine and I want to take it out but is it really that simple? Just pop out the filter and that's it? Nothing else?

Thank you

I took mine out a year ago. Still on the shelf on my garage. No issues yet...

It's a moronic EPA requirement to prevent. .0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 000000000000000000000000000000

No problems here after carbon filter removal, K&N install and engine remap...and several trips to the dealer they made no comments.

Ok just un-installed it

I let the engine warm up a little and then revved it up a little. Doesn't really sound that different but I will have to see if it sounds different when driving.
