Great. So it should be good for me--40% huper optik. By the way, are 40% huper optik darker or lighter than the tints for a MB ML or BMW X5. Those are the only two cars I can relate to as I see them everyday.

Much, much lighter than the tint on a X5.

X5 tint is more like 20%

Thanks for the reply. I will probably opt for the 40 Huper Optik. Will 40% on the sides and 30% rear look well together? Thanks again.

Yes, it will look fine.

Keep the doors one shade, and you can do the rear darker. If you do the front door one shade, and the back door in a different shade... it will look weird.

I have Huper Optik Ceramic tint at 30% on my Jet Black 545i. This is the second BMW with Huper Optik, and I have been very pleased with it. Here in AZ, the new ceramic tint really cuts down on the heat but without having very dark windows. Do a search in your area for Huper Optik installers for info. I paid about $675 for mine last year.

I just got my car tinted today. After coming home from the shop, I noticed a small air bubble on the side of the window. Will this go away as the "tint cures?" Thanks.

I went with Formula One ceramic 35% all the way around.

There are only 2 ceramics on the market, and I would recommend either. I believe Huper Optik makes the other (38%, I think but not certain).

The great thing about ceramic is 1) it will not block radar like metallic films do, and 2) it won't fade like the dyed tints.

It is going to be the most expensive, but IMHO worth it. I paid just under $400.

You cannot roll down the windows for 7 days while it dries.

Yes, it should... but depending how big... I had one that was fairly big and its because theres still a really small layer film of water there and it dries out in a few days... keep an eye out for it.
