My Ride: Bmw 530d 2004
Have you checked all the cable harnesses above the battery? There's lot of them, and I think it would be a PITA to relocate them...
I'm sure it's been done and it's possible, but is it worth it, I don't know.

Just tried to say it would be difficult to relocate the battery if you want to go for M5 quads, which require more room on the right hand size.
Sure you can go quads. You just need some other solution than M5 quads if you want to keep the battery in stock location.
Few choises:
- straight pipe
- small size muffler on the right side
- or like I did:
