haha yeah we could be. Your ride is actually my inspiration for the theme I selected. I was planning on going with Matte Black, however after seeing your car I was in love.

Thanks!

Oh no the wrapping took several days. The whole project took in total a span of two weeks I believe. I did the work usually after work and spent most of the time over the weekend on the car. My original thread post is a copy/paste as I planned on posting it when I started the project but never got around to it so posted everything now. Kinda wish I could edit it now.

Yeah the deck of cards is a method I used for the first time. I actually picked up the idea from here and it worked out great. I was trying to work as fast as possible and this method saved me some time.

Thanks! Yeah I really wanted to wrap the door handles but ran out of time. I am hoping to get that done this weekend.

Awesome! I see you also have a Jet Black E60 and M5tech front bumper. Make sure to share pics when you can. Good luck on the project. What color are you going with?

Not sure of the law for you locally, however where I am at now all I have to do is contact our local DMV to update the color of my car. I also removed the tow hook so I need to update them about that as well or I may fail the yearly check on the car. Least this is what I am told from a friend. I still haven't contacted them yet.

After a few days of Matte White I am happy with how easy the car is to clean as spraying water on it does the job for the most part. Drying the vinyl in many cases isn't needed and I just drove off for a wind dry. Worked out fine, however not sure if that is recommended. Guess we will see. Car does get dirtier a lot faster. I can see that I will have to was the car a lot more. May have to change the color when winter comes. Something darker.

One thing I haven't figured out is how to remove dirt when its really on there. I haven't found the right spray to work with as it does not work with water and a sponge. I will try to find out more this weekend.

lol I was updating the privacy settings on Flickr and it renamed all the photos I originally posted. That really SUCKS! Will upload the photos on here instead later on.

I am re-adding some of the pics I posted earlier. Sorry mods for the additional posts.

Removing Headlights

Removing side skirts

Removing fenders

Removing front bumper

Removing rear taillights and bumper

Removing electronic towing hitch. Easier then I thought it would be. Heavy as hell though.

Cut open headlights in preparation for Orion v2 install

Testing out red angel eyes that will be connected to my dome lights

Orion's installed and now sealing up headlights. Did a partial blackout.

Added 2 layers of primer in preparation for the gloss paint
