Congrats Mike, the car looks awesome. That's the kind of buy I'd like to do on a M-BMW in a couple years. Low miles, well kept, one owner, etc. Those rims look so nice.

Problem is I hear that the fuel itself helps keep the fuel system itself cool. Running it low lake that may cause issues. Sweet pics though!

Everything looks good, Would have left the calipers stock tho and push the RPI tips a tad out to revile the emblems but other than that it looks nice and stockish modded.

hahaha! It didn't stay that way. However with an M5 they do tend to get there fast!

Funny thing about the calipers. I went to have my HREs swapped from my 550 to the M5 and when I came back form lunch they painted them without asking! I was like "ok". I would have preferred stock or a more subtle color myself too.

The RPI tips are done that way on purpose. The shot is a "cold" shot. When the pipes heat they expand 1/2"-3/4" and stick out where the logo is fully visible. They are set about where stock exhaust was now. Any further and we thought it might look too aggressive and you could also easily burn yourself reaching into the trunk (yup...I actually made a practical decision with my mods).

I am in the midst of a custom hood fabrication (first stages). Have idea in mind and looking to two fabricators and deciding who to use. It will be a nice focal point to the car. Not too over the top but definitely will add a very classy sporty touch. Going to be somewhat similar to a Ferrari California hood (at least that is the inspiration for the initial design).
