I need to get under my ashtray/center trim area to do an electronic install, and cannot immediately determine how that piece of wood trim is attached. Does anyone have access to a DIY on removing the interior wood trim that I could use?

push on the left and right side of the shift boot and it will pop off, unclip all the wires and move the shift boot out of the way. you will see 2 or 3 screws, loosen those and the whole thing should be free to start popping off, underneath there are 2-3 needle looking things that go into the car and they will need to be popped off, mine were really tight so it was a bitch to get off. good luck

Heres a DIY by rsyed for the SAT retrofit. It includes instructions for removing the center trim. Good luck!
