Hey guys I did the search and couldn't find anything. Wanted to know if anyone else has this problem or solution to the problem. So My dension was installed and worked fine, all of a sudden it cannot play my usb files. I can read the files but the files never play, ipod works fine but the usb is not working. I hit the reset button and now the ipod works but the usb just wouldnt even read.... anyone run into this issue? any help would be appriecated.

 

Did you change the switch to USB? Lol

 

man im not that stupid lol.... it was working fine before it just stop working for some reason today and only the usb the ipod works fine

 

Plug in the USB and leave it in after shutting off the car. I left mine overnight, came back and everything was working. That said, I regret not having installed OEM iPod and USB ports. But, as a one-device solution to two problems, it's not terribly bad. It works great for the most part, and I've yet to have any major issues with it. But some conflicts, like this, do happen occasionally - just don't expect their customer service to help

 

I left it in the car... Hopfully that is the issue, I loaded a ton of music last night and today the dension was able to see the music and run through everything but couldn't play anything is that because it had to "reload"

 

no luck still nothing, doesnt even read the usb

 

Did you try using a new flash drive Ant?

 

.......... john from motorcepts came over to have a look and it looks like the densions max safe amount to run is around 32gb but im sticking with a 16gb drive just ordered one. John took his flash drive and it worked fine but with my patriot drive it didnt work.... probably the format from fat 32 to ntfs
