I got my quote on my Ipod retrofit kit from my stealership. $460 installed. I think its a pretty good price considering I have to get the software update anyway. Their charging me $307 for the parts and $153 for labor. So I think its a good deal.

I wanted some of your opinions on this. Thanks.

I have a 2006 525xi without navi or CD changer.

I'm in Canada, and the pricing is different here, but I just paid shy of $700 CAD for the iPod integration including taxes. That included the hardware, software upgrade and he also threw in the Bluetooth retrofit. $460 installed is definately better than what I paid. I went with the dealer because they give me 2 years warranty on the hardware and installation in case anything goes wrong. Now I can view all my iPod albums / songs and access using the iDrive. It's pretty sweet!

Hope that helps!

Why? It's already antiquated technology with low quality sound. Internet radio is much more worthwhile (although you can't get it integrated in the vehicle - yet).

Ok, I got a question. If you get this can you only change song thru idrive?? I have a iphone and I have a radio app. I would be getting this more for the fact it would be directly connected to the audio instead of my current setup with a fm transmitter. I want to be able to play my radio app I bought thru the stereo.

Does anyone know if this Ipod Kit will work on the new ipod touch? Because I had an ipod connector from Pioneer on my truck and it only worked on the older Ipods.?
