Thanks roll1dice, yes it was the amber color "Luxeon III star LED". Any any other colors can be bought and substituted.

Sorry for any confusion since the posts were long. I'm not the best with explaining things. One of the post had a technical theory, It is to explain the reason in the first place for changing the LED and replacing the LED driver that came with predator ice. That way a person knows exactly the detail on how to configure their own modification to achieve the best output. The other post with bunch of pictures are steps i did to to change the LED & LED driver. Don't be discourage..it's so easy a caveman can do it!

Things a person need:

- predator ice (offcourse)
- LED (know the rated specs)...use the "star" shaped LED for perfect fit.
- LED driver (from specs--choose 350mA, 700mA, 1000+) ...too much current will burn out or shorten LED lifespan. Not enought current for LED will make light output dim.
- thermal compound
- simple wire connectors
- soldering iron
- small +screwdriver
- 9V battery & alligator clips (not necessary, only to test it out)

The LED & LED driver can be ordered online, and the rest from any hardware store. That's all i can think off.

Much thanks to the folks at the m5board. They have a ton of info about it and have done a great job playing around with it!
