Dinan offers their own warranty all right, but the significant issue is that a Dinan chip will not void the BMW warranty. Other Dinan products work the same way. That is one reason that Dinan costs more. They do more research for their engineering and work closely with BMW on why the OEM restrictions are in place to start with.

BMW dealers recommend the ACS tuning since you don't lose the warranty.

The very first BMW sales person I talked with seriously in 1996 suggested that a Dinan chip might be just the ticket for me after we shared driving a demo. :winkcool: Also, it was during that initial demo trip that I knew I would never buy a demo. I know that you say BMW engines are built to take it, but I do believe we can shorten the life.

In holland non of the tuners is supported.. ACS or Alpina would be great.. don't understand why they don't work with them.

Yeah. kinda.. except dinan does not have the pedigree (in my OPINION) that ACS has.. dinan is too conservative and unwilling to take risks... they are safe... granted. .but i'd rather they be more like ACS and cater more to Enthusiasts sp?
