I am tinting my tails with some vinyl film I have. Is it best to tint the whole light or just the white part? Or the light and leave the white part out 
? I have LCI car so I still want the rods to be visible and the tint is only 35% because anything darker I think looks "thug".

It depends on why look you want. I don't think any is better than the other literally. It all depends if you think it looks better.
