Thumbs up

I am in the US and I ordered the Nav Pro available in the US. Has anyone gotten delivery of the Nav Pro? Can you post pics of the screen that comes with it? It is supposed to 8.8" as apposed to 6.5" that comes without the NAV.

The only navigation system available in the US is the equivalent of Navigation Professional in other markets, but it's not called Navigation Professional in the US because it's the only one available. And yes, it does have the 8.8" color screen. In other markets outside the US, there is a Navigation Business with the standard 5.8" mono screen, which only displays directional arrows and no map. Ordering Advanced Air Conditioning gets you the 6.5" color screen outside of the US. The 6.5" color screen is the standard screen in the US when no nav is ordered. The 5.8" mono screen is not available in the US.

Correction: there is no 5.8" mono screen; the only available screens are 6.5" color and 8.8" color. Getting Navigation Professional (outside the US) or Navigation (in North America) gets you the 8.8" screen.

Hi,

there is no and there wasn?t a mono screen in any E60! It was only a "mistake" in the first price list of the E60. BMW always built the E60s with at least the 6.5" color screen. Even in cars without Nav Business. The cars without Nav Business displayed "Car Data" instead of "Navigation" on the screen then.

Only for your information .

in Europe there is no 5.8" mono screen in the e60

the 6.5inch colour screen is standard, with or without business nav and certainly not connected to advanced air conditioning

the only photo i recall of the nav pro was in a file called E60_Equipment.pdf which might be on this site

the business nav is dvd based and while there is no map it is an especially good system, in my opinion - fast, accurate, up-to-date... and she is rather polite as well.

Ahh, thank you very much! I was wondering about that since I hadn't been able to find the 5.8" mono screen on any production vehicle. I bet BMW decided that going with the color screen was the way to go...
