Hi Guys,

Been wondering for a long time. Is it possible to fit a cayenne stock brakes onto my e60 ?

And if possible, does it need to be modified or anything ?

Regards,
Mark

I have seen people put these on the Audi A4, which is a relatively small sedan compared to the E60. I think as long as you already have a 18 or larger rim, you should be okay.

Don't quote me on this though, let's wait and see what others say

Are you experiencing a problem you think may be solved by installing "Porsche" brakes? Today's automobiles are pretty complex and besides calipers, rotors, and pads there are lots of electronics [ABS, Stability and Traction Control Systems] that are also involved.

As for others doing this on an Audi, as they are in the same "family", part interchanges probably are probably simpler?

Id imagine that a custom carrier would have to be fabricated and the caliper/rotors would need to clear your wheels...with that you can use most calipers on most cars.

Have you considered Brembos instead? It might be easier too!

Yeah most Audi/ VW big break kits come from there new owners ( Porsche), funny thing is that the MKIV r32 front breaks are the same ones used on the 1995-6 BMW 7's form the middle east ( they are huge )

You might have some issues with the sensors , the Rain scrub, hill desent etc... also maybe with the Break resivour too.
The Cayenne Turbo/ and S breaks are huge! You will need some very big clearance on all the rims due to the calpiers being huge, and the rotors/disks are not small either.

if you have 19" wheels, why not go for used M5 brakes? they are HUGE, dual piston, cross-drilled, and bolt right up. what more could you ask for?

They are not so powerful to be honest, but they are the best solution: M5 to seriously improve the braking, but if you will go on track for an entire day you will need Brembo .
