Only the least knowledgeable car fan would think you are trying to pass off your painted calipers as Brembos. Lots of different companies make brakes in different colors, but I guess people associate red with Brembo, and unfortunately, all those e-Bay fakes. I have red covers (Cal-Covers.com or BavAuto.com), but got them instead of painting. I actually wanted blue ones to go with the roundel theme, but they were back-ordered and I was installing new wheels and didn't want to have to remove them again, so I went with red. I just wanted to add an accent color to my plain silver on silver paint/wheel scheme. They also match the red reflectors and tailights. Anyway, just like everything, you'll find different opinions, some more vitriolic than others. I think red would sharp on your car. 2 cents.

since your asking for my 2 cents... here goes..

I would go with Red.
1. if someone is noticing your rims. it's the little extra red adds. (yellow seems like DeWalt power tools)
2. I don't think if they are Red you are trying to fake the funk with fake brembo's. There are other manufactures that sell high end callipers that are Red.
3. Nothing says "I did this shit myself" more then red marks on your driveway, right next to the oil stains and pot holes.

follow up when you decide.
