Today I drove the car with about 50Kg in the boot: luggages, skiboots, etc.
I found the car better balanced than empty.
Plus it spins less at the traffic light.

Now I have some questions:

a) can I install the engine on the rear ?

b) why those stupids made the rear axle carrier in AL instead of steal?

c) any idea to how add weight at the rear?

PS: I'm not mad, it's serious. And I'm referring to V8 cars.

Lack of weight over the back wheels also contributes to the crappy traction and handling on snow and ice, i experienced it today, was not good lol. You could always install a second engine in the boot lol kinda like the twin engined veyron, except you will have one engine at the front and one in the rear lol

Put a sub and amp, I did a custom sound system with 2 subs and amps and it really adds weight back there. Otherwise just put some sandbags.

No guys, I was thinking to a permanent weight. As replacing the carpet on the spare wheel with something with the same shape and made of metal.
But how to get the spare wheel or the safe bolt with it on ?

Just get yourself a fatass girlfriend. Shove her in the back seat and off you go. Easy to do around here in Chicago. All you have to do is camp a McDonald's and eventually a porker will come rollin by staring at your E60 like its a happy meal.

Mmhh... 5 mm of iron, 1 square meter.. 39 kg.. mm.. Doable.. I have to ask blacksmith. Even 20 Kg can be enough, but 2.5mm I'm afraid would be to thin to make.

Cheap mod.. better handling and more fun ---> more more fun But also more pleasant to drive everyday.
