Thinking of plastic dipping some grills to gloss black. How good does this hold up after so many car washes?

my wheels and shadowline have held up pretty good for months since plastidiping them. i hit my wheels with the pressure washer at the car wash couple times a week. pretty durable stuff. if only i knew about this stuff years ago

it's holding up great for me on my wheels. except for the fact I curbed up my wheels at the airport yesterday. Can't blame plasti-dip for that though. just my stupidity.

I plan on doing the trunk key lock this weekend. I wish I had other parts I wanted done, maybe the vertical slats in the kidneys. I think I need to leave the silver/gray strip in the lower bumper since my kidneys are chrome still. I wish they made a matte finish one that I could spray all my chrome down and turn it matte. Love to do the window trim and kidneys in matte chrome. The slats in the kidneys never get clean anyway, so making them black couldn't hurt.

Probably just do the trunk key for now.

I read that using Plasti Dip Glossifier on chrome will give it a brush aluminum look.

yup I've read several articles and seen many youtube videos of plastidips durability...my rear valence has been done for about 4 months and I pressure wash it at the car wash atleast one a weeek with no issues. I just did my wheels a week ago and so far they are holding up as well.

after

here is a video of pressure wash testing @ 1,800 psi (more than a traditional car wash spray nozzle)

here is a video of how easy it peels off

here is a pic of how smooth the finish comes out
