$2000? Couldn't you get NAV retrofitted on a non-NAV E60 for that amount of money. Or at least have it installed as an option at the start? Just pricey IMO. But hope it all works out for you!!!
If you read carefully, you will see that it is not in the E60 but in one of my other cars

mine didnt come with pre wiring for nav, so getting oem nav retrofitted is thrown out the door. So I'm wondering if i can get the AVIC-N1 in my e60...

that one has dvd, mp3 and tv functions as well, given you hook it up.

I meant for that comment to stormace.

I'm pretty sure you can get NAV to work for that unit.

Why not bypass iDrive completely for audio? Just don't bother with iDrive for audio and use the Pioneer unit for everything else. Is it even possible though? Hmm... so many questions so little knowledge...

Well, all the best and keep us updated!!!

I've been researching this unit and was wondering if anyone has looked into this pioneer all in one nav system.? It seems possible to install this unit just underneath the air condition controls where the cubby hole is for none nav e60.

I saw an e60 with this unit installed but unfortunately couldn't find the owner of it to ask him some questions.? So it can be done.

Hey stormace.. the AVIC-N2 is already out. But i heard the screen is a little smaller than AVIC-N1. And JJ has AVIC-N1 in his E60, do you need me to ask him?

If you want an aftermarket Navigation system... then get Alpine.

Pioneer sucks by comparison. Alpine makes the best aftermarket NAV.

cool, thanks. i'll go with what is best recommended; i'm more worried about if a 3rd party nav system will work well with the e60, install-wise and all.
