There is a Thailand E60 member I think that put a CF M5 trunk finisher and left it unpainted. It did NOT look good. Your idea will basically look like that. I'll see if I can find those pictures again.
Plus, we already discussed in pm about the "ghosting" effect with the CF trunks. Only looks good on CSL trunks on M3's (E46/E90/E92) or else I'd already have the CSL CF trunk for the E60 with a ghosted tip.
