I keep seeing ads for the new line of performance parts being rolled out at the BMW dealerships. Ads say that initial availability is for 1-series and 3-series. Does anyone know if they plan anything for our 5-series (and if so, when)?

As you can tell from many of the discussions on this forum not many 5ers mod their cars, so probably not enough money in it for BMW to do.

I think that they should make Roundel logo OEM Truck Nutz. I know that I would buy a pair.

many of the cars you see on this forum have that...just search around buddy...

o and its mainly for the "sound" and the cosmetics, but you do get some performance gains depending on your setup (i.e. whether you connect it all the way to the intake or not, etc.)...

I am saying just not enough modded cars for BMW to roll out a performance line. I would think if you are performance minded you are part of this forum, so we would show a disproportionately high ratio of modded cars.

I heard that the "BMW Performance Parts Program" is not doing well and that is the reason that BMW leaned on a lot of dealers to drop products like Dinan and SSTT. The problem is that BMW is out of touch with it's customer with it's product offerings IMHO. For us it really sucks because (other than wheels and body kit) they don't offer anything for the 5 series. I am going to discuss this with my local dealer and see if they will consider handling Dinan again. They dropped Dinan in order to apparently support the factory performance program, I'm going to ask them how much factory stuff they have actually sold. To directly answer your question, I have not heard anything about factory performance parts for our E60's.
