Guys,
Just some opinions needed. My new baby will be arriving in the next few weeks. My question is should I opt for a clear bra? My current car has got battle damage from those f'in trucks that seem to always be ahead of me in the L.A. freeway system.
Ok, I lied, one more question. What are your guys feelings about the extended warranty? Woth it? or not?

-thanks in advance!

Up here in Canada, in the winter when we get snow on our roads (only for around 4 months ) one thing the city does is put down sand/stones on the ice for traction. Well, then in the spring/summer they spend they time picking it up ... So, yes I have a clear-bra and yes it works great, and yes I would recommend it to protect from both stone chips but also bugs ...

Clear bra - yes. I put one on and it has saved my paint with all of the construction going on. It is noticable up close, but well worth it IMO.

Extened warranty? - How long you keeping the car? Is it worth your peace of mind?

I plan on keeping for a while, at least until the extended maintance runs out.
When you say its noticalble up close, do you mean it distorts the lines or ?

Thanks.

Also forgot to ask you:
Did you get the clear bra from the dealer or did you do it post delivery?
And if you dont mind sharing, what were the costs?

-Thanks!

I have the clear bra on my orient blue 545... It is only noticeable if you are looking for it. There is a small thin line that extends across the hood about 18" up from the grill. Other than that it is almost invisible. It has worked very well against stone damage and bugs just wipe right off.

The dealer recommended an installer and I paid $800. That included the entire front of the car including the headlamp windows, the front of the side mirrors, the door handle pockets, the lower edge of the fuel door and the rear bumper under the trunk lid... also the trailing edges of all four doors. Well worth it IMO.

Maybe this is a silly question, but here goes:

When, and if, the clear bra is ever removed, would one find that the paint color under (or not under) the plastic has changed/faded ... Of course, one might ask why remove it, but I was just wondering.
