You should do it! I just got mine done yesterday in LA by Powerchip directly.

evosport offers the same, but you have to pay for the install. I think it is still better than driving into LA if your from OC.

I will have time to drive this weekend and will try and make a big post.

Wow, old thread. Most of these guys don't even post anymore and some don't even drive e60s any longer.

Don't know what happened to rabih, but ch7656 sold his car, slvr530i gave the e60 to his wife and now drives a 350z, and bmwin14rsm still has the e60 in the family, but his wife drives it most of the time.

Yeah, I've been here for awhile.
