Similar I have Pro Nav on a March 04 E61 (Jan build), there are indifferent remarks about BMW bluetooth on the forums so I looked at IO Play for phone and to stream music, Halfords a Uk non specialist retailer said too difficult to fit to a 5 with Nav. I'm looking for a cost efficient option couple of hundred UK. Any suggestions?
dension sounds like a good solution for you since you already have the nav. do a search for dension.

pretty good, esp. given that you can send addresses/points-of-interest from Google Maps or via BMW Assist.
yea, but can't do that on the pre-LCI cars, and I'm not sure the retrofit is even an option on LCIs. He doesn't have one, so he's not going to get either of those perks. I'd kill for the traffic info but it's not gonna happen.

It is possible to go from No Nav to Pro Nav: -

You need a lot of new parts, and could be costly. I would advise to get all parts from 1 donor vehicle rather than ebay lots of separate parts.

I did it so you can!

I know you all probably like the integrated Nav better... but IMO, nothing is better than an aftermarket Garmin Nuvi.... as far and function, options, and user ability goes.

Hi,

My '04 530i (build date 02/04) does not have navigation or blue tooth integration. When my car was at the dealership last week, asked if there was a navigation retrofit option for my vehicle and was told there was no upgrade option.

Has anyone ever changed the existing BMW no nav system to a BMW navi system? - not sure if I can find a another '04 car with navi and swap the systems?

What options are available for aftermarket navigation, blue tooth, DVD player?

Comments, suggestions ....

thanks
This fellow just upgraded his car from no-nav to Pro-nav.

There is another guy selling the kit for about $1350 in the classifieds.

Good luck.
