People, i have had 3 attempts on opening my headlights and its just not happening for me. Ive tried heating the seal with a heat gun, seperating it with screwdrivers, soldering it appart but nothing!! I think i've cut into my hands more then the actual headlight lol. Can't seem to find any threads on this either.

Someone please give me some advice, i need this done asap.........

If it's for E60 headlights, see links below. GL.
Use a Dremel Multimax tool or equivalent.

Just follow the cutting lines as per Umnitza Install PDF.

Or the Fein MultiMaster Oscillating Tool, but it's too expensive.

Thank's for the links guys, but they don't sell that type of tool in th U.K, i've looked everywhere. Can i use a dremel instead? Also have you guys actually cut into the seal or cut along the seal straight into the plastic lense cover?

use a soldering iron with a flat spade end, it would be your best setup, not messy and easily closed after completion.

Only if you like to inhale burnt plastic fumes. Wear a respirator. An oscillating tool is surprisingly clean to use with plastic materials.
I'm sure others in the forum that have done this mod will agree with me on this.
