The ACM Module is fairly new, in fact so new that it was very difficult to get adequate support from BMW with regards to the installation. But finally after frequent contact with some engineers in Munich the thing works.

ACM allows you to connect DVD, TV and camera's all controlled via the magic button: i-drive.

Here are some pictures;

The camera....

WOW!! Congrats!! Is that an original BMW camera? How about DVD? Did you use original BMW DVD Player or something? Will it have front camera? I'm so interested in that module, but not enough information on it. Can you provide some? Do you need to have Nav to use that module? Whats the whole story about it? Thanks. Once again, congrats on a wonderful mod!!

1) That is an original BMW camera indeed.
2) It is possible to connect a generic DVD (avoid the expensive BMW DVD changer!) as long as you connect the BMW connecto to a normal cinch input.
3) Front camera can be added (even a double one!)
4) What info do you need ?
5) You do need to have a monitor but I guess every E60/61 comes with a monitor
6) Thanks

Is that also mean CIP 25.10.06???
In Europe BMW offers 2 type of navigation "Business" with a small 6.5" monitor and "Professional" with a larger (wider) 8.8" monitor. My car has the 6.5" monitor, it did come with nav.

25.10.06 was the date of my last CIP upgrade. It was upgraded to C23i01V8

So, after the installation of the ACM module and rear view camera, do you need to have the latest software (CIP) to make the camera and iDrive to work with each other ?

Can I just purchase the rear view camera only, not both the front and rear camera ?

Thanks,
