Default Offroad overland build

What's up everybody. I got an 06 530xit and I'm looking to build an offroad/overland wagon out of it. I can't find lift blocks or a lift kit for it anywhere. Does anyone know if a x5 or x3 lift kit would fit? I know it's some wild shit but I like building one of a kind shit. Any info would be great. Thanks

Default Yes!!

I’ve thought of doing the same thing. Would love to hear if anyone else has done this.

Would also be interested if this is a possibility. Sure are a lot of lowered e61s, which is the exact opposite direction I would want to go with my car. My fantasy setup would be ohlins push-button adjustable suspension from stock to 2in. higher for snow/offroad driving. Maybe the guy who's thinking about the 4 corner air suspension will find an air ride option for this kind of thing...

Lots of things like this in my neck of the woods, but I've never seen an E61. A few cars like that in my car club even. If you're decent with fabrication, I'd find a donor X5. Too bad you're over there. I'd totally offer to lend a hand!

With stock parts you can get it higher but depends how much you want. E90 non-sport strut mounts work in the front for 5mm height gain (same part # as the later LCI E60 x- drives). Some pre-lci E90 x-drives also had a 5/6mm spacer ontop of the mount for extra height.
Front auto 535xi springs will be stiffer/longer to raise the front end.

Rear you can electronically raise the rear end.

Without going custom I think thats the most you can do (coilovers are usually lower and not higher) which might be a 15-20mm raise
