Has anyone installed the factory clear bra for the front bumper, hood and foglights?

For US models, I do not believe a clear bra is available from the factory. I had the clear bra from the BMW accessory catelog installed by my dealer. Looks good, fits good, works well.

Mine was installed at the dealership. I have one imperfection in it right between the kidneys. Must have been a rock. Asked the dealer if they have any "patch" kits available. They said they need to replace the entire piece (another $200+). I'm going to pass for now. I think I may have a fix for it.

realtyman, I also have a small road blemish. My man offered to try a patch. He thinks he can do it. Didn't mention a price, but I would expect in the $25 range. Told him it wasn't that much at this time and if I picked up another I might consider. Or, if I get bored one day, I might run it up to him -- just about three miles.

I know Griot's Garage sells similar stuff in strips (by the foot). I was going to get a strip, cut off the old part (carefully) and replace it with the Griot's stuff. Just haven't had the time to order it never mind install it. Maybe if I stay off the board...Nah.

In the discussion with my man, his primary concern was cutting through for the patch without touching the paint. After a bit, he thought he'd be able to do it.
