Are OEM 166's (19") really like 20's?

I measured them out yesterday because a friend of mine was saying these wheels (shown as 19") actually measure out to 20" from end-to-end on the face. Is it true that visually they look like 20's even though they're 19's?

i think it's the concavity that makes it look bigger than it actually is.

Id say they could appear as 20s since they dont have a lip. usually with wheels with a lip, it would make the wheels look smaller than they are.

That must be what it is; no lip.

rims are measured by the diameter of where the tire bead sits, not including the flange.

The face may measure 20" but it is a 19" rim

I agree with the others, the "no lip" design makes them look bigger. The M5 wheel is a great design. It's what I would be running if I didn't have LM's...
