I am swapping out my 172s with Hankooks for my 123s with Dunlop Wintersport M3s. I will have to take a look at the Hankooks. I have had them on since about April. I didn't drive this year in nearly as many meets as last year (just 2) so if they wore big time, I'll be pissed. Then again, they offer great performance and they are dirt cheap.

I have used V12 once in a e46 325 and vs the last one set Potenza GIII, it was no difference at all, Potenza's are faster to wear maybe.

With the actual 530D I spent two sets of Hankook's and again: amazing tires, great cornering...maybe a little bit soft wall always with a very nice grip.

But I have an issue with the capabilities of the V12's on the e60: hydroplaning is not so good as was with the e46 325.

I know this sound strange, but after using two V12's sets, start to end, and with sporty drive all the time, and with 6 months raining a lot here in the Tropic, I'm pretty sure when I saying that Hankook's V12 are not so efficient under wet conditions when you put in a e60 instead a e46 325.

Are really good, yeah, but there's a change.

The feeling of grip and control is not so strong under the e60 and it's definitely stronger with this same tire under a 325 e46, both in perfect conditions.

It will be the weight, width, axis, etc ? I don't know

With the next new 19's rims set, I will go for the Potenza RE960 Pole Position: it could be better, it could be worse, but for sure I will let you know guy's!!

A great tire stick the bimmer to the road, give traction in dry and wet, and do under cornering, braking and faster curves.

That balance makes a tire better than others.

That's why I said V12 is a great tire, because have a very good grip, cornering is not hardest, it's not very noisy (maybe in cement surface a little), and his treadwear # (durability )is acceptable.

But remember that tire wear can impove at expense of traction and rolling resistance, you can't get all! Same with noise, low noise = less wet traction

Balance is the key for regular driver's, wet season vs dry season lead the selection.
