My Ride: 2003 BMW 530D, Silver Gray, Hartge performance chip 260bhp 600nm, dropped with Eibach Federn 4cm.
I bought a chromed licence plate backround and it looks pretty cool in my Silver Gray Metallic BMW. I'll upload some pics about it at the end of this week.
It's like this:

So the chrome comes about 4cm from the both sides.
