These were reccomended by a mate - wondered if anyone has had them and had opinions?
i had them on my old wheels. Used them for about 500 miles. Cant really give you a good review. I barely used them. They really didnt have that much road noise. I dont know really how they handled because i didnt really push them or do any agressive driving. I know they are cheap as hell but. Have you tried searching the forum for opinions?

I had them on my 07 Audi A4 Quattro. I drove it for about 10k. They are pretty good for that price.
I had falken 452 before the N3000. I felt that the 452 griped stronger on corner.
But if you are low on money, N3000 is the way to go.
Otherwise go with the major brands.

i put them on my car, 245/40/18 on the front and 275/35/18 on the rear. Originally i was very disapointed because of a shimmy around 80-120 km / hr. Had them balanced again where i bought them. still the same problem. took it into BMW to get balanced, just to make sure, and they told me i had a slight bend in the right rear rim.
I had the wheel straightened and still had a similar problem. So i took them back to where i bought them to get it sorted out. they checked the balance again and found it was way off. turns out the wheel was not rebalanced after being straightened. now they run fairly smooth. Doesnt handle as well as my last tires but not bad.
you might have a problem putting them on a lease return. you may have to put it back to OEM or equivilant. Which likely means run flat tires. You should check with your dealer first.

I have a shimmy around 65-70mph. Not too bad but I can definitely feel it.
I too had right rear bent and got that fixed but still have shimmy.
The funny part is it isn't consistant. It shimmys at random speed between 65-70mph and doesn't last longer than 30sec.
It stops and comes back after a while.
After some hours of research, N3000 has flatspotting issue. For me at times, my car sits in a garage upto a month before driven again.
And that gives a little permanent flat spot where it vibrates/shimmys at certain speed that never goes away.
I have purchased Falken and I have no issues whatsoever so the rim specialist done a good job of repairing/and it's the tires not rims.
I originally blamed him for not fixing it right and brought back to him 5 times. But he showed me
the computer reading that the fixed rim is 99.98%!! And the one that didn't bend reading was 99.8 so he fixed better the one came out of factory
I swapped back to n3000 as I still have plenty life left. I'm gonna abuse it over this summer and gonna put back falken that sits in a garage collecting dust.

Have you checked your lower controller arm bushings? At about 65-75mph you feel a shake in the wheel right? How does it run at 85-100mph? I don't think it's your tires unless they're badly worn. I've owned N3000 and N5000 on 4 different cars and had no issues whatsoever. The N5000 lasted me so far 40,000 miles and still have some gripping tread left. VERY good tires.

It only chimmys between 65-70mph and not at other speed. It has to be tires because when I swapped to Falken, it didn't have
any chimmy/vibration whatsoever. I too had great experience last year when I put N3000 on 17s for 6 months.
But when purchased N3000 for my 124s(18s) it had chimmy issue from day 1. And greater flat spot issue. I guess lower
profile makes more prone to flat spots. I searched a lot regarding this and many people are suffering. Especially at STi
forums, they seem to purchase this model a lot.
