Nex GT Coilovers

I can't find the GT series for our E60 application. I only see the SS series. I checked the manufacturers website and did not see it there either. PTL, do you have a part number on your box?

I just spoke to a gentleman at Nex here in California. The part number for the GT is GTBW06. He adviced me to talk to Richie at maxspeed. Said Richie was very knowledgable when it came to suspension prodcts.

Yep thats the correct part number for the GT series. Ritchie seems like a pretty straight shooter.

no that alters the spring travel (kw, bilstein). if you look closely at the coilover, you'll notice threads at the bottom of the shaft. to adj. height you actually turn the entire shaft and it'll make the coilover shorter but won't affect the spring travel.
kinda hard to explain but a better design.

one of the reasons i liked the coilover. Doesnt JIC/Cross have a similar design?

Ahh I think I get it... sort of. I remember on my S2000 Apexi coils I accidently turned the wrong threads and messed up the spring travel... and the coilovers were already corner balanced too . Then I figured out how to turn the entire sleeve or unit or however you call it where the spring travel remained unaffected but I could adjust the height. Fun times!
