I have never installed Angel Eyes but from what I hear it can definitely be done without removing the headlights if you have small fingers. Maybe it would even work with pliers.

Yes you can do it if you have small hands. I'm sure you will find many posts on the forum that will help you out!

Here's a good link to the angel eyes DIY install, http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=36860

Make sure you have some really long long-nose pliers. It will make the job a lot easier.
Otherwise, it become challenging and difficult. This DIY doesn't require headlight removal

I dont know why people keep on saying you need long nose pliers and small hands. my hands are slightly bigger then average with thick fingers and I was able to easily switch out my AE's. Maybe got a scratch or two on my hands that noticed like the next day. Easy install bro just dive in. GL

that's because you have an LCI e60...pre-LCI AE's are much different, just take a look at the DIY thread mrfva posted for pre-lci AE's above...compared to LCI AE's removal here.. http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=59157&hl=

I have the MTECH angel eyes. I had to remove my whole headlight. It's much easier to install. The MTECH seems to have a hard time being plugged into the socket. I have an attached picture of how it looks at night.
