Not sure if this has been posted before.
I found this in the new accessories catalogue. Looks like a non M - Sports wheel with ruthenium inserts.

My Ride: '05 545i, silver gray, black leather with anthracite maple wood, sport package, premium sound, navigation, cold weather package, electric rear sunshade, folding rear seat, satellite radio prep, PIAA 4150K fogs, red rear reflectors, hardwired Valentine One
Coincidentally, when dropping my car off for service this morning, I sat in a 645i convertible which had the same steering wheel--I liked it a lot.

Ok, guess it is only new in South Africa.
Would I be correct in assuming the ruthenium parts could be fitted to the M Sports wheel?

The picture in post one looks like my wheel, except it's missing two very important paddles for shifting the SMG...

I got a price for the Ruthenium piece - roughly US$ 80.
Will try to see if it can be fitted to the MSports wheel without loosing the centre strip where the M Badge is mounted.

I have the same stearing wheel it is very nice indeed, i like muck more than the normal one on the 530
