Who said anything about mounting the plate or putting the plate on the lower grill? I'll keep getting the tickets and the fines until infinity! No front plates are going on this car!

The underdrive pulley reduces parasitic losses to your power from engine to the wheels that occur when some of that power is being used to power your accessories like water pump, AC, power steering..etc... It doesn't give you more power but it frees up more power to go to the wheels.
