James, did you end up getting updated through the dealer parts counter?? If so, could you share the cost? Thanks.

Thanks. That's the info I need. May wait one more year and get Q2 '06. George Bush (190) should be finished by then. That will be our mainline for cutting through N. Dallas.

Just curious, but does anyone elses DVD make 'search/ seek' noises as the map is being displayed?

This is the 2005 DVD...

Unhappy

Guys,

FYI, Just picked up the new NavTec CD today for $270 at the dealer, believe it or not it wouldn't read the CD. Because I understand #$%& happens I put it in the car before I left the dealership and discovered the problem. I explained the problem to the service guys they told me because the car was purchased in
Germany the vehicle setup needed to be changed to reflect US setup before the system would recognize the US CD. Oh, by the way while stationed in Germay I operated the navigation system for a year with no problems.

Has anyone else ran into this problem?

looking through old posts about nav functions i noticed that in the US it appears you can search ny zip or post code,is this correct ?
Also it seems there are a lot of programing alterations on the different country setups i wonder if this is true or just different disks and series of cars 3,5,6 destined for us eu etc.
perhaps we could collate examples.this might be an answered useless thread but i havnt seen any response to some of the comments here.
