I am going to put together a small video... It is hard to capture the real deal you know... They are legal, it's not really red at all... Just light I suppose. They are a rich amber...

Tony, have you noticed that when you start up the car, they flicker a bit and for a couple seconds after as well?

My friends pointed it out to me and I've seen the reflection of them flickering off of other cars...

Yep that's normal, that is the car's bulb out system sending a signal to the lights. This happens on E46s and E9X's as well. Think of it as your car preparing for launch mode.
