Welp, was unable to get my alignment done today due to the fact I'm too low and Les Schwab couldn't put my car on the alignment rack. Gotta find a shop that has an in-ground rack instead. While fiddling with the coilovers and tweaking the height, my MTech front and rear bumpers came in!!
Have to prep and install my factory PDC sensors Gotta install my factory PDC sensors while I wait for my grills and fog lights to come in Monday
Took some time to tweek the coilovers. My OCD kicked in and wanted to set up the height, having consideration of me in the driver seat...
Front:
Left - 25 1/8"
Right - 25"
Rear:
Left - 24 7/8"
Right - 24 3/4
Front: 17 clicks from full soft
Rear: 16 clicks from full soft
Gotta get my alignment done before I install the M Tech bumpers. Still running 5mm spacers up front on Style 246 18x8 et 43... and no spacers in rear 18x8 et 20.
Finally got my M Tech front and rear bumpers. Installed my front bumper... rear next. i sprayed the grills semi-gloss black... fitted 6000K LED fog bulbs. Also had to pick my headlight washers and PDC sensors for the new front bumper
Took apart my replacement steering. It's a Sport Steering Wheel w/ LCI Paddle shifters & Heat. Paddles will be sent off to Motive Mods for modification for their wiring harness for LCI paddles. I have a new custom leather wheel cover coming from East Detailing. As for the scratched up trim... I used Acetone and a green Scotch Brite to get the Soft Touch paint off. Then sanded it all down with a red Scotch Brite pad. I sprayed 4 coats of flat black paint... then 4 coats of flat crystal clear coat. Turned out amazing! Can't wait to put it back together and install it.
Sprayed the flat black paint/primer... 1st and 2nd coats lightly. Waited about 5 min between, since this was fast drying paint. Last too were heavier, but made sure was sprayed even... again 5 min between each coat. Did the same with all 3 pieces. I waited about 10-15 min to spray the flat crystal clear coat. Same process for each 4 coats. It says dry after 10-15 minutes. Handle time after an hour. Gonna let them sit and dry for a good few hours just in case. Turned out amazing!
My BC Racing Damping Control Extensions came in. It basically allows you to be able to make damping adjustments in the rear without having to move panels out the way. They were only $40 and are able to cut down in case they might be too long, which I did.
After looking into the trunk and up towards the rear deck... found out the tops of my rear struts are below the rear speakers. There's a cut out already into the metal rear deck underneath. All I had to do was cut away some of the foam that is tucked underneath the rear deck. I then made a small notch on the outside of each rear speak. This is where the extension will come out of. They were a tad long... so I used my Dremel to cut them down shorter. I even made small notches in the speaker grills Done... All nice and neat and easy to use for adjustments.
