Nah dude, the Magnaflow muffler is here to stay. It sounds good and for some reason, it seemed to have helped my car.
Friday night the misses and I were heading home in a hwy in Mexico and then out of nowhere, this vato in a E39 M5 pulled next to us and asked for a dance. We were neck to neck for a good two miles or so. We then slowed and started again but this time I was behind him in the same lane, seconds into the second dance, I noticed that I was really close to his rear bumper and decided to back off...perhaps it was draft and not because maybe I was faster...he continued on.
We later pulled up to a cantina and he asked me what was done to my car, I said: Muffler, RPI scoop and K&N filter with the charcoal filter removed. He said that I was the first non M5 E60 Series car to run with him like that. FYI, he was the only passenger in his ride while I was hauling the wife and I. She is only about 140lbs but it was extra weight nonetheless. I think I would have beaten him by half a car or a car if I was solo...maybe. I think I will be removing all the spare tire crap just in case I end up in Mexico again.
Thanks,
Hard45

Yes, remove the spare tire. it helps lots the weight. I bet someone here will tell you to remove the floor mats! lol... Joking of course!
did you know about Sprint Booster? it is a must!
How about the LSD? I bet you will love it! that is the best mod of all (IMO) but yes pricey.

http://www.diffsonline.com/product/customdiff5.shtml (the shop sells LSD kit for BMW)
In summary: all M has LSD that is why the manufacturer does not want LSD on non-M cars so there are aftermarket ones.

Oh I see, got it. I dont think I will be going that far with this car. Besides, did you see the cost of this mod? WOW.
Z06's are expensive but this entire BMW modding stuff takes the cake...no, the whole bakery...
Thanks,
