I don't think you can get any aftermarket solution apart from Orions that deliver any decent daylight brightness on these.
The rings on pre-LCI models are not made to stream light as effectively as the LCI ones, and that's the way things are.
I disagree about them not being visible at all in the daylight, if you look from a lower point of view - directly "in the eyes" - you can see them all right. Ask someone to drive in front of you, he will surely notice you've got them on. And in the evening, they're definitely looking great - and that's for the 40 euro is fine enough.
So yes, they're not usable as daylight driving light but that was never claimed by anyone.

I think it's rather subjective until you have seen what is bright. I know InFBMW sentiments. That's why I went with Orions.
And yes, pictures of AEs are extremely deceiving as it's very difficult to capture correctly on camera.
The best pics I have seen taken of the Orions is probably by Rizbel.

How much are the Orion kits in comparison to the ones that InFBMW and beamlord picked up? I know its abit novice, but are the orion kits, the ones that require a full headlight stripdown?

As far as I know they both are plug'n'play. I paid 75$ to get those bulbs from Europe.

Yeah they require you to take the whole headlight apart, which is really far from trivial, and they cost something around 150 Euro.
