It seems that way. The new E90 has the same effect/white color tone as the Angelibrights and are approved for DLR lights - since they're brighter - which i'm interested in (apart from looking cool). The FL E60 will use the same technology.

He's only replacing his bulbs not converting them to real HIDs so there shouldn't be any error codes.
