Save your money and get a good wheel. Don't buy low end wheels... trust me. Ive gone through 3 sets of wheels and my third set is the one I like the best.

I would go with a company that is known for good quality. I never heard of Stern.
Quality-wise, I do not know if the Stern wheels will bend easily or any other problems. The wheels don't look bad but I rather spend money on a quality wheel versus a budget wheel

I'm with Alpinewhite; save your money and get a better wheels . Mr.White doesnt want you to feel regret later on. I say ride on your stock wheels right now. Your BMW deserve a better shoes. Go for the Miro M6 rims and drop it period!
reasons:
1) $578wheels+$160ship+$10centercaps+$600tires=$1378+ (i think getting M6 style rims are better)
2) The wheels look great on the picture, is that the wheels going to turn out to be( like the fat lip)?does it look good on an E60?
3)It's Ebay and paypal (damn QuadM)!
Well You don't have to take my words for it. If you want to get it then get it!

Never heard of Stern other than Howard but this look is available in other brands as well so you might want to go with a more trusted (and tested by E60ers on this board) brand just to avoid vibration, instability, softer metals, and other problems... especially when you're flying down the road!
I'm an OEM type person and would go 172/167/166 but since you're in Cali... try iForged, DPE, HRE or some other brands that make quality.
YMMV
