Does anyone have any real-world times for the 04/05 model years?
Please provide recommendations on technique used as well.

The Indian LCI 530i is mid 7's
The Petrol BMW's here have to be detuned to lesser power to deal with the fuel quality. Diesels on the other hand can handle the impurties by farting out a small cloud of black smoke when needed, hence no detuning required.
The 525d and 530i performance test figures by indian magazines prove both deliver identical figures !

Hmmm...
I thought just mashing the pedal and maybe putting it in sport.
Steptronic starts in second gear in d-mode normally, correct?
