My mother is picking up her 528xi on Tuesday, and I want to have some mods ordered before she gets it.

1. She wants me to change out the chrome window trim for the shadowline trim the sports pack cars come with. Is this a big job, or can I order this and install myself? Where can I get the best deal.

2. I told her I'm going to change out the grills for all black. Where should I get these from?

3. Does anyone have pics of saphire black with 35% tint.

4. What other basic mods do people put on these cars??????

I suggest that you use the search function in the toolbar in the upper right hand corner (between "members" and "help").

There are definitely threads on numbers 1 and 2 in your post.

I am not knowledgeable about mods for the xi models but generally some of the more popular mods members seem to get here (I'm not one who mods) include the Sprintbooster, new wheels, an upgrade of the angel eyes to make them white (see Alpine White Girl's threads on that mod among others, aftermarket exhaust (RPI seems popular for this mod), and various mods aimed at lowering the car.

Thanks for the info, I will look into that.

Also what are the options for the front bumper on this car. I know the bumpers changed in 08, what M-tech or M5 bumpers will fit an 09?
